Job summary

Consor Engineers is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects across local, county, and state levels. The role involves design, detailing, and analysis for highway projects, with remote work and occasional travel to the primary location.

You will work with a design team, prepare plans and reports, ensure compliance with standards, perform calculations, and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license (GA license a plus).
Proficiency in Microstation and Open Roads Designer.

Responsibilities

Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
Prepare design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
Monitor compliance with codes and engineering practices.
Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
Collect data for topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality.
