Job summary

Mercy Health in Missouri is seeking an experienced RN to join the Mercy Virtual triage program. You will evaluate ED patients against criteria to determine eligibility for the ED-to-Home program and coordinate with the ED team to expedite outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program with RN licensure
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure
• 2–3 years of recent Med Surg, ED, or Critical Care experience
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) or within 30 days of hire
• Unit-specific certifications may be required depending on unit

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients presenting to Mercy ED against defined criteria to determine clinical appropriateness for ED to Home program
• Collaborate with bedside ED team (nurse, provider) to facilitate expedited outpatient care
• Support patients with hospital follow up appointment scheduling when automation fails
• Support Mercy’s value-based patient population, including transportation coordination, to avoid ED visits/hospitalization
