Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Registered Nurse with CDI expertise to perform initial to intermediate clinical documentation integrity reviews. You will work under the Manager, coordinating with providers to resolve documentation issues, support appeals, and participate in mortality and quality reviews.

The role requires an RN license, 3 years of ICU experience, and familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding. Remote work is considered for eligible states with on-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; state licensure/compact licensure depending on work location.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
• 3 years of ICU/critical care clinical experience required; 1 year CDI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to intermediate CDI reviews and re-reviews.
• Submit queries to providers and assist with first and second level appeals.
• Collaborate with physician advisor on denial appeals and mortality reviews.
• Document findings and ensure correct DRG and encoding per guidelines.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation.
