Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking a Right of Way Director to join our team remotely in the Midwest U.S. The role leads the ROW department, directing preparation functions and personnel decisions, with responsibility for strategy, budgets, and deliverables.

You will collaborate with internal teams to secure new projects and maintain client relationships. The successful candidate will have extensive ROW experience, supervisory background, and a real estate license or ability to obtain one within 3

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent ROW experience
• 15+ years in land/ROW/easement acquisition or related field
• 5+ years ROW supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of ROW, project management, budgeting, regulatory and legal issues
• Experience managing financial, marketing, HR, and operations of an engineering dept
• Real estate license in applicable state or ability to obtain within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Lead ROW department and personnel decisions and provide direction
• Oversee department strategy, budgeting, staff and deliverables
• Assist in marketing Bowman capabilities to win new clients
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements
• Define scope of multiple ROW projects and monitor progress
• Prepare proposals, budgets and schedules; ensure on-time delivery
• Supervise Project Managers when needed
• Maintain client liaison and resolve project questions including billing
