Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Right of Way Director to lead the ROW department in the Northeast U.S. You will supervise staff, direct acquisition, title research, and permitting efforts while aligning with senior management on budgets, schedules, and client relations.

The role requires extensive ROW experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive profitability and growth across multiple projects. A real estate license and travel within the region may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; 15+ years in land/right of way or related field.
• 5+ years of Right of Way supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ROW processes: acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, and regulations.
• Experience reading construction/engineering plans/profiles.
• Expert Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the ROW department.
• Develop budgets and schedules; manage staff and deliverables.
• Prepare proposals and establish client budgets, timelines, and marketing materials.
• Supervise ROW personnel to ensure high professional standards and quality.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.
