Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Right of Way Director to lead the ROW team in the Northeast U.S. You will supervise department functions, guide proposals, budgets, and client relationships while aligning with firm strategy.

The role requires extensive ROW experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams. A professional real estate license is preferred; relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Right of Way or related field.
• 15+ years in land/right of way, title research, or related area.
• 5+ years in supervisory ROW experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, eminent domain, and legal issues.
• Experience managing budgets, marketing, HR, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead ROW department, set strategy and budgets.
• Meet with clients, prepare proposals, and manage schedules.
• Supervise ROW personnel and ensure high professional standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project needs.
• Develop plans for complex ROW projects and monitor progress.
• Review cost sheets and ensure projects stay within budget.
