Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to partner with retirement-focused advisors, providing consultative sales support and driving growth of employer-sponsored retirement plans. You will manage relationships, develop territory plans, and guide opportunities from discovery to close, with extensive travel and remote collaboration with internal teams.

The role requires 7+ years in retirement plans, FINRA Series 65, strong prospecting and closing skills, and the ability to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 7+ years in retirement plan industry including defined contribution sales/consulting/advisor-facing solutions.
• FINRA Series 65.
• Understanding of financial markets and retirement plan regulations.
• Excellent prospecting and closing skills, sales planning, and selling to customer needs.
• Strong written communication, presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop Southeast and Northeast territories to achieve retirement plan sales and asset goals.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to build pipeline and adoption of Cetera 401(k) solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and proposal development through follow-up and close.
• Provide consultative sales support to retirement-focused advisors.
• Develop and foster advisor relationships via phone, web-based, and in-person meetings.
• Support proposal generation and prep for client meetings.
• Provide product and solution consulting for employer-sponsored retirement plans.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support advisor needs and opportunities.
• Document sales activity and campaigns to promote growth.
