Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to partner with retirement-focused advisors and drive growth in employer-sponsored retirement plans. The role emphasizes consultative sales, proposal support, and product knowledge, with a focus on disciplined sales activity and collaboration with internal teams.

The position requires extensive experience in retirement plans, FINRA licensing, and the ability to manage a multi-state territory with travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and/or five years or more related experience or training preferred.
7+ years of experience in retirement plan industry including support for defined contribution retirement plan sales, consulting, or advisor-facing retirement plan solutions.
FINRA Series 65 required; Series 7, 66, 63 and Insurance licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and develop the Southeast and Northeast territories to achieve retirement plan sales and asset goals.
Develop and execute a territory sales plan to build pipeline and increase adoption of Cetera 401(k) solution.
Manage full sales cycle from discovery and proposal development to follow-up and close.
Provide consultative sales support to retirement-focused advisors to drive employer-sponsored retirement plan opportunities.
Collaborate with internal partners to support advisor needs and sales opportunities.
