Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to partner with retirement-focused advisors, driving employer-sponsored retirement plan opportunities. You will build and manage advisor relationships, provide product guidance, and support proposals while expanding sales in assigned territories.

Required: 7+ years in retirement plans, FINRA 65, strong prospecting and closing skills, and knowledge of 401(k) solutions. Travel 25-50% is expected, with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; 5+ years related experience preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in the retirement plan industry, including support for defined contribution retirement plan sales, consulting, or advisor-facing retirement plan solutions.
• FINRA Series 65.
• Understanding of financial markets and retirement plan regulations.
• Excellent prospecting and closing skills, sales planning, selling to customer needs, and market knowledge.
• Strong written communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the Southeast and Northeast territories to achieve retirement plan sales and asset goals.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to build pipeline and increase adoption of the Cetera branded 401(k) solution.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and proposal development through follow-up and close.
• Provide consultative sales support to retirement-focused advisors to help drive employer-sponsored retirement plan opportunities.
• Develop and foster advisor relationships through phone, web-based, and in-person meetings.
