Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn and administer 401(k) plans through initial document review to year-end reporting. You will review client documents, keep clients informed of progress, and support annual 5500 filings while growing skills in retirement plan operations.

You’ll work remotely from a home office with robust Excel-based reconciliation, reporting tasks, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing as daily duties.
• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience in benefits administration, money movement, insurance claims processing, tax prep, loan or mortgage documents, or compliance/quality-control support.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to collect information for annual reporting.
• Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and admin software for 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Prepare 5500 filings using filing software.
• Explain retirement plan administration to clients and address questions.
