Guidant Financial is offering a fully remote role that supports entrepreneurs nationwide, focusing on retirement plan administration and back-office operations. You will review client documents, run annual reporting, and assist with government filings and year-end reporting requirements.

We value experience in document processing, reconciliation, and familiarity with 401(k)/IRA administration, with opportunities for growth to an ESOP-driven, supportive culture and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience (benefits administration, money movement/ wires, insurance claims, tax prep, loan/mortgage docs, compliance/quality-control).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA administration, distributions/rollovers, 5500 reporting) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy; reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and emails to clients during plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) filings (IRS Form 5500) using filing software.
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration and plan documents.
