Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to remotely administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans. You will learn quickly through training, handling document reviews and government filings such as the 5500, while updating clients on progress.

You'll work with Excel and dedicated software to perform testing, reporting, and ensure plan compliance, all from a home office as part of a growing ESOP-focused team that supports entrepreneurs nationwide.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan administration, filing, and reporting processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy
• Prepare annual 401(k) reporting and IRS Form 5500 filings
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Educate clients on plan administration and year-end reporting requirements
• Communicate progress to clients and respond to inquiries
• Support additional duties as needed
