Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to partner with retirement-focused advisors and drive employer-sponsored retirement plan growth. You will develop relationships, provide consultative sales support, and guide proposals across the Southeast and Northeast territories, with 25–50% travel.

You will leverage retirement plan knowledge, CRM tools like Salesforce, and internal teams to educate advisors and close opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in retirement plan sales or advisory support.
• 7+ years in retirement plan industry with defined contribution experience.
• FINRA Series 65 required; Series 7/66/63 and licenses preferred.
• Strong prospecting, closing, and client education skills.
• Knowledge of markets and retirement plan regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop territories to achieve retirement plan sales and asset goals.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to build pipeline.
• Manage full sales cycle from discovery to close.
• Provide consultative sales support to retirement-focused advisors.
• Document sales activity and campaigns to promote growth.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support advisor needs.
• Stay current on retirement plan industry trends.
