Job summary

Humana is seeking a Research Scientist 2 (Remote) to apply statistical and epidemiologic methods to large datasets and shape clinical strategies for Medicare Advantage. You will work with clinicians to extract data, design studies, and translate results into business insights.

The role requires a Master’s in a quantitative field, 2+ years applying research methods, and experience with SQL, SAS, and Python. Travel is occasional; the position offers a remote work arrangement and a strong benefits

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
• 2+ years applying research methods and coding in SQL, SAS, and Python to large data environments.
• Experience with experimental and quasi-experimental methods (RCTs, propensity matching, DiD).

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory analysis on populations and clinical conditions to identify opportunities for outcome improvement.
• Collaborate with clinicians to extract clinical information from medical, pharmacy, and lab claims for analytics.
• Design outcomes studies and perform program evaluation using randomized and quasi-experimental methods.
• Translate analytic results into actionable insights and communicate to business partners.
