Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, statistics, clinical informatics, engineering or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience creating datasets and analytical variables from large data by writing SQL, SAS and Python.
• Experience applying research methods to transform large data into actionable insights.
• Experience with experimental and quasi-experimental methods (RCTs, propensity matching, diff-in-diff).
• Strong interest in healthcare and improving health outcomes; ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team and present results clearly to business partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory analysis on populations, trends and clinical conditions to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with clinicians to define clinical concepts and extract information from claims for analytics and modeling.
• Use descriptive and epidemiological methods to analyze data.
• Design outcomes studies and evaluate programs using RCTs, propensity matching or diff-in-diff models.
• Review literature and assess engagement and treatment effect sizes of early-stage interventions.
• Write SQL, SAS and Python code to assemble data, create analytic variables, and build models and visuals.
