Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit and attest engagements for renewable energy clients. The role emphasizes supervising staff, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to office profitability while working with minimal supervision.

You will focus on GAAP-based attestation work within the firm's Tax/Audit practice, mentoring teams and coordinating with Principals and Partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 5-8 years in public accounting; CPA preferred.
• Expert understanding of GAAP and U.S. auditing standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and sound professional judgment.
• Strong attention to detail with time-efficient work habits.
• Organizational and follow-through skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload.
• Openness to feedback from Partners and collaboration with the team.
• Proven ability to foster a productive, team-oriented environment.
• Strong Excel and report-writing skills within MS Office.
• Professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
• Capability to earn the confidence of Partners and manage time entries/billing.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, and technical decisions.
• Oversee engagement completion and problem resolution with minimal supervision.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and mentor staff at all levels.
• Perform annual performance evaluations and guide development conversations.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Turn technical knowledge into high value-added client opportunities.
• Represent the Firm at conferences, publications, and recruiting events.
• Foster Novogradac brand through professional relationships with Partners and clients.
• Develop client relationships through professionalism and service mindset.
• Pursue training to enhance industry knowledge in renewable energy and related fields.
• Improve office profitability by efficient time management and value-add ideas.
• Engage in other duties and projects as assigned.
