Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking an Audit Manager to join our growing firm. You will manage audits and attest engagements for renewable energy clients, supervise staff, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to firm profitability. The majority of your time will be spent on attestation services under GAAP guidance.

The role emphasizes mentoring Supervisors and Staff, along with business development activities to pursue new clients and opportunities for high value-add services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance (advanced degree is a plus) and 5-8 years of public accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Expert understanding of GAAP and U.S. auditing standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage fast-paced and varied workloads with prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing and technical issues.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Promote the Firm’s image through conferences, publications and trainings.
• Develop and grow client relationships to increase profitability.
• Increase office profitability by efficient time management.
