Job summary

Relocity in Alexandria, VA seeks a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant) to guide relocating employees through every stage of the relocation with a white-glove approach and tailored client support.

The role is primarily remote (60-70%), with 30-40% in-person client support across the city. You will develop relationships, advise on neighborhoods, handle housing/school research, DMV and banking setup, and deliver personalized recommendations using Relocity’s software.

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have at least 5 years of residency in Alexandria or surrounding D.C. area.
• Must own a reliable, registered, and insured 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants should have the flexibility to dedicate at least 20 hours per week to this role without the demands of full-time employment elsewhere.
• Must be flexible and available to work weekends.
• Friendly, outgoing personality, strong customer service orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Prior personal relocation or moving assistance experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with relocating employees by understanding their needs and concerns.
• Provide expert guidance on neighborhoods, transportation, and local culture.
• Conduct in-depth housing and school research, including rental trends and school ratings.
• Assist with DMV registration, banking setup, and other logistical requirements.
• Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
• Gather and deliver customized information using Relocity’s software to create tailored reports.
• Coordinate and lead area tours, in person or virtual.
• Facilitate ongoing communication via phone, email, video/meetings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout relocation journey.
• Efficiently manage multiple relocations at various stages.
• Handle administrative tasks such as updating client records and documentation.
