Job summary

The American Cancer Society is seeking a Senior Vice President, Individual Giving to lead regional fundraising strategies across a national footprint. This senior role includes overseeing Market Leaders, frontline fundraising teams, and a select UHNW/HNW donor portfolio, with a focus on accelerating revenue growth and donor-centric programs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in driving fundraising results across diverse communities and markets.
• Expertise in principal gift strategy, portfolio management, and high-capacity donor engagement.
• Skilled communicator who represents ACS to volunteers, staff, and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and market-based revenue strategies.
• Strong analytical and performance management capabilities using data to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of regional individual giving strategies across markets to achieve revenue goals.
• Recruit, coach, and manage Market Leaders overseeing frontline fundraising teams and major gift portfolios.
• Lead specialized relationship fundraisers and drive donor-centric strategy across markets.
• Drive principal and major gift strategy and portfolio management for high-capacity donors.
• Directly identify and steward UHNW and HNW individuals as a senior ACS representative.
• Ensure market integration across development channels and mission pillars for unified revenue generation.
• Guide governance engagement with chapters and volunteer boards to advance priorities and outcomes.
• Establish and monitor KPIs across markets, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
