Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to bridge the gap between our sales teams and utility customers across the Central US region. You’ll travel to customer sites, identify service opportunities, and deliver solutions for power transformers and high-voltage breakers.

You’ll provide on-site technical support on testing, controls, and oil processing, review specs with customers, and support proposals.

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 10+ years field experience on transformers and high-voltage breakers.
• 4+ years as field crew leader.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Advanced MS Office; experience with Salesforce or CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities and develop tailored solutions for grid assets.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to support customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to deliver seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial customers; generate detailed reports in CRM and present at industry events.
