Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD that can drive our Strategic Operating Priorities.

The candidate will engage in scientific dialogue with national and regional SLs, ensuring access to company-approved medical information for COPD and related trials. The role requires a credentialed medical background (PhD/MD/PharmD/DNP) and at least 3 years of COPD/Respiratory experience, with travel up to 50% within the North

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant COPD/Respiratory experience beyond the terminal degree program.
• Strong governance of FDA, HIPAA, and industry regulations; capable of doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and provides medical information within approved scope.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate company resources.
• Engages in scientific congress support and gathers insights to guide program strategies.
