Job summary

CAI is seeking a Regional Grant Coordinator to support Indiana’s MRIHA regional grants. The role is full-time and hybrid, based in or near Indianapolis, IN, with remote work flexibility and regional travel.

You will manage regional contracts, ensure CMS reporting, and coordinate with public health partners to strengthen rural health delivery. Suitable for experienced grant professionals ready to operate in a state-wide program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, health administration, public policy, business administration, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in grant management, contract oversight, program administration, or related work.
• 3 years of experience with healthcare organizations, rural communities, or public health systems.
• 2 years of experience with compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements for state or federal grants.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently as a remote field-based contractor.
• Must reside within the assigned RHTP region and be willing to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary regional contract manager for organizations receiving RHTP funding.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements, including expenditures and documentation standards.
• Support IDOH in ensuring regional coalitions meet milestones and timelines.
• Identify risks and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and use state-approved templates and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with statewide Technical Assistance Providers to ensure aligned support.
• Coordinate regional data collection, performance tracking, and CMS reporting requirements.
• Serve as the day-to-day liaison between IDOH and regional coalitions.
