Job summary

CAI is seeking a Regional Grant Coordinator to support Indiana’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and MRIHA regional grants. This full-time, long-term contract role is hybrid in Indianapolis, IN, requiring coordination of grants, contracts, and CMS reporting with regional partners.

Responsibilities include contract management, compliance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and efficient data reporting, with remote field-based work and travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, public policy, business administration, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in grant management, contract oversight, program administration, or related work.
• 3 years of experience working with healthcare organizations, rural communities, or public health systems.
• 2 years of experience with compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements for state or federal grants.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently as a remote field-based contractor.
• Must reside within the assigned RHTP region and be willing to travel regularly within the region.
• Experience with CMS-funded programs or federal cooperative agreements.
• Familiarity with Indiana's rural health landscape, including hospitals, FQHCs, EMS, and community-based organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary regional contract manager for organizations receiving RHTP funding.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements, including expenditures, budget adherence, and documentation standards.
• Support IDOH in ensuring regional coalitions meet milestones and timelines.
• Identify risks and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and use state-approved templates and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with statewide Technical Assistance Providers to ensure aligned support.
• Participate in regional meetings and consortium sessions.
• Coordinate regional data collection and CMS reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of regional reports to IDOH.
