Job summary

CAI is seeking a Regional Grant Coordinator to support Indiana’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) MRIHA regional grants. This full-time, long-term contract role is hybrid in Indianapolis, IN, with remote capabilities.

The candidate will manage regional contracts, coordinate stakeholders, ensure CMS reporting, and drive program milestones. The ideal candidate has a public health or related degree and 5+ years in grant management, with strong compliance and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a public health, health administration, public policy, business administration, or related field
• 5 years of experience in grant management, contract oversight, program administration, or related work
• 3 years of experience working with healthcare organizations, rural communities, or public health systems
• 2 years of experience with compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements for state or federal grants
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently as a remote field-based contractor
• Must reside within the assigned RHTP region and be willing to travel regularly within the region
• Experience with CMS-funded programs or federal cooperative agreements
• Familiarity with Indiana's rural health landscape and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary regional contract manager for organizations receiving RHTP funding
• Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements, including expenditures, budget adherence, and documentation standards
• Support IDOH in ensuring regional coalitions meet milestones, deliverables, and timelines
• Identify risks and escalation needs; maintain audit-ready documentation
• Coordinate with statewide Technical Assistance Providers to ensure aligned support
• Facilitate regional meetings, consortiums, workgroups, and application development sessions
• Coordinate CMS reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of regional reports
• Engage regional stakeholders and promote representation of rural populations
• Assist regional partners in interpreting state guidance, funding requirements, and program expectations
• Track progress, identify barriers, and support problem-solving to maintain momentum
• Contribute to statewide consistency with shared tools and evaluation frameworks
• Participate in regular check-ins, statewide meetings, and trainings
