Job summary

Nationwide Financial is seeking a Regional Internal Consultant to act as a trusted advisor to financial professionals, broker-dealers, and internal sales teams. The role focuses on growth, retention, and client success across an assigned territory, leveraging consultative sales and relationship management to offer NF products and services.

The ideal candidate will balance multiple priorities, mentor newer associates, and participate in strategic projects while supporting territory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a sales-driven position.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance and financial products and consultative sales processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiates daily contacts to build relationships and advise on client needs.
• Develops strategic partnerships to meet territory goals; consults with Nationwide Financial.
• Evaluates partner viability to meet customer and business needs.
• Responds to partner requests with illustrations, proposals and rider information.
• Provides financial expertise and practice management advice to partners.
• Executes proactive contacts to support campaigns and product features.
• Partners with external sales to grow the business and tailor solutions.
• Engages partners to retain business and mitigate asset flight.
• Represents ISS in meetings and advisory boards.
• Collaborates across Marketing, Product Development to build competitive products.
• Travels to cover open territory and conduct in-person meetings.
• Trains newer regional internal associates and assists with meetings.
