Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Regional Field Applications Engineer to work remotely from a home office.

You will engage customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities, collaborating with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to develop design solutions and build strong technical relationships. This role requires CAD/ProE experience and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering preferred.
• CAD and ProE design tools experience.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams.
• Able to communicate design advantages to customers and gather needs.
• Willing to travel 25–50% domestically and internationally.
• Strong data analytics and market research skills.
• Understand cost/pricing considerations in AAO products.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to quickly generate product design solutions.
• Build responsive technical relationships with our customers.
• Data analytics - market and technology research.
• General understanding of internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements.
• Interface with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer requirements.
• Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files.
• Communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing.
• Review customer documents for compliance with Amphenol Aerospace Operations (AAO) requirements.
• Understand financial cost / pricing of AAO products.
