Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Regional Field Applications Engineer to work remotely from a home office. You will engage customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities and design solutions, building strong technical relationships and performing market and technology analytics.

Occasional travel (25–50%) is required to support customers and manufacturing iterations. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Ability to use CAD/ProE for design work.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Ability to communicate design advantages of products to customers and translate needs to internal teams.
Capability to redline designs to meet customer requirements.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–50%).
Work in a desk/office setting.

Responsibilities

Engage with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to quickly generate product design solutions.
Build responsive technical relationships with customers.
Data analytics – market and technology research.
Understand internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements.
Interface with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer requirements.
Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files.
Communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing.
Review customer documents for compliance with AAO requirements.
Understand financial cost / pricing of AAO products.
