Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Regional Field Applications Engineer to work remotely from a home office in the United States. You will engage customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities and collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales and cross-functional teams to craft design solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Ability to work with CAD and ProE for design.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Ability to communicate design advantages and customer needs.
• Capable of redlining designs to meet customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; 25–50% travel.
• Desk/office work environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to quickly generate product design solutions.
• Build responsive technical relationships with customers.
• Data analytics - market and technology research.
• Understand internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements.
• Interface with customers and vendors to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files.
• Communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing.
• Review customer documents for AAO requirements.
• Understand financial cost/pricing of AAO products.
