You will engage customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities, build responsive relationships, and help translate design needs into manufacturable solutions.

The position requires a BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), CAD/ProE proficiency, ability to travel 25–50% domestically and internationally, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) required; Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
• ProE/CAD design experience.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to quickly generate product design solutions
• Build responsive technical relationships with customers
• Data analytics - market and technology research
• Understand internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities
• Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements
• Interface with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer requirements
• Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files
• Communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing
• Review customer documents for compliance with AAO requirements
• Understand financial cost / pricing of AAO products
