Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Regional Field Applications Engineer to work remote from a home office. The role engages customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities and supports product marketing, sales and customers to deliver design solutions. Travel is expected domestically and internationally (approx.

25–50%). A B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and CAD/Pro/E experience are preferred to interface with cross-functional teams and interpret drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
• Ability to work with CAD/Pro/E applications for design.
• Requires ability to work with cross-functional Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Must communicate design advantages of Amphenol products to customers and customers' needs to internal teams.
• Must be able to redline designs to meet customer requirements.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally; 25–50% average travel.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product Marketing, Sales and Customers to quickly generate product design solutions.
• Build responsive technical relationships with our customers.
• Data analytics - market and technology research.
• General understanding of internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
• Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements.
• Interface with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer requirements.
• Interpret customer drawings and 3D files.
• Communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing.
• Review customer documents for compliance with AAO requirements.
• Understand financial cost / pricing of AAO products.
