Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret ICD10 diagnosis codes and clinical referral documentation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process referrals from external providers.
• Validate referral completeness and required demographics.
• Interpret medical terminology and ICD10 codes for referrals.
• Enter diagnoses using ICD10 or free text when needed.
• Determine routing based on intake matrices and priorities.
• Create and manage Epic referral records and attachments.
• Escalate complex referrals per protocol.
