Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education or 4 years of experience required.
• Experience in Healthcare practice setting preferred.
• Virginia MLTSS (UAI) Certification required to complete orientation and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation or database software. Excellent communications and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule referrals, authorizations, and medical record maintenance for a practice, clinic, or department.
• Maintain clinical information systems for patient scheduling, registration, and reporting.
• Ensure insurance, demographic, and eligibility data are accurately entered.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues.
