Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland is seeking a HR Advisor/People Operations professional to provide proactive support across the employee lifecycle in our Birmingham office. You will work with HR Business Partners and managers to deliver a high-quality employee experience, ensure policy compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the People function.

You will handle queries, coach managers on employee relations, support offboarding and onboarding, coordinate immigration and DSAR activities where

Qualifications

• Experience in a HR advisory/generalist or People Operations role.
• Ability to advise and support managers and employees.
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Solution-oriented approach and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in improving processes and working methods.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a first point of contact for People-related queries and guiding on policies and lifecycle processes.
• Providing advice and coaching to line managers on employee relations topics (probation, performance, absence, flexible working, fixed-term endings).
• Supporting Employee Relations with disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Assisting HR Partners and Employee Relations with projects and process improvements.
• Managing the leaver process and coordinating with People Operations Offboarding.
