Job summary

Rexel USA is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join the Mayer team in Columbus, Ohio. The role is remote when not traveling or meeting with customers, but you must reside in the greater Columbus area.

You will drive sales growth by promoting products, building new relationships, and supporting customers throughout the purchasing lifecycle. A driver's license and relevant industry experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or electrical industry experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School or GED - Required.

Responsibilities

• Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products; communicate features and benefits.
• Grow business by selling to new customers and expanding existing accounts.
• Collaborate with leadership and suppliers on sales strategies and new markets.
• Assist customers with product selection and applications using internal and supplier resources.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Understand customer operations to tailor solutions to objectives.
• Coordinate quotations and maintain ongoing communication throughout purchasing lifecycle.
• Work with management, credit, and customers to resolve payment issues.
• Gather market data and report on competitors, pricing, trends.
• Participate in training and development to improve selling skills and product knowledge.
• Maintain records of sales calls and expenses.
• Coordinate sales calls with vendors to demonstrate products.
• Utilize digital tools to gain competitive advantage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
