Job summary

Rexel USA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Mayer team in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on proactive inside telephone or email sales and maintaining customer relationships, processing quotes and orders, and pursuing product knowledge to drive organic growth.

You'll support outside sales, use digital tools to promote products, and prospect new accounts within a defined territory. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience.
• High School or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Process phone orders, quote prices and terms, and offer substitutes when appropriate.
• Assist outside sales by handling priority transactions.
• Use digital tools to sell, market, demonstrate products, and answer questions.
• Prospect for new accounts within a defined geographic territory.
• Manage a defined customer base and maintain relationships.
• Identify customer objectives and resolve issues with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare quotes/proposals and follow through the purchasing cycle.
• Report market trends, pricing, and product information to management.
• Join product meetings and training to stay knowledgeable.
• Pursue product applications with internal and vendor resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
