Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in biology, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science.
• Experience in clinical laboratory.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine and complex procedures using established criteria to provide quality clinical information.
• Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity for test methods
• Operates, calibrates, checks, maintains instrumentation and communicates with a certified medical technologist if there are any problems with quality controls
• Performs test order entry accurately and efficiently to ensure proper testing and charges of patient accounts
• Participates in medical technology learning models or technical development modules to ensure growth and development of the laboratory
• Provides support such as answering telephones, faxing reports and reporting stat and critical value results
• Performs other duties as assigned or required
