Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated, experienced Physician Coder to join our Radiology coding team. The role focuses on CT, Ultrasound, and other radiology modalities, with remote work options and flexible hours across the nation. CPC in active status is required, with CPC-A considered only if radiology coding experience exists.

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/AHIMA or AAPC active certification from AHIMA or AAPC.
• Six months of professional coding experience in healthcare.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) active status required.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using ICD-CM and CPT-4 for radiology procedures.
• Abstract and document diagnoses, procedures, and related info in EMR.
• Ensure coding compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with daily/monthly reports as needed.
• Work independently with supervisor support as needed.
