Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated, experienced Physician Coder to join our Radiology coding team. This fully remote position covers CT, Ultrasound, and other modalities, with CPC required and CPC-A accepted only if radiology experience is present.

You will work with our remote team across multiple sites, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with coding guidelines. We offer flexible hours, the equipment provided, and a structured, one-month-plus training program with ongoing support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal training in coding principles.
• Six months of professional coding experience preferred; radiology coding a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment using coding software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medical records and assigns ICD/CPT codes per national guidelines.
• Abstracts diagnoses and procedures and uploads to EMR with complete documentation.
• Ensures compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and Medicaid rules and internal quality standards.
• Generates daily/monthly reports as assigned and supports coding quality analysts as needed.
• Works independently under supervision and seeks guidance for complex coding scenarios.
