Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated, experienced Physician Coder to join our Radiology coding team in a fully remote capacity. The role covers CT, Ultrasound, and all modalities, with flexible hours across multiple states and robust support resources.

We require CPC in active status with recent radiology coding experience; CPC-A allowed with minimum 6 months radiology coding experience. Training provided for 1 month+ and equipment supplied upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT credential in good standing with AHIMA or AAPC.
• Minimum six months of professional coding experience.
• Remote work readiness and ability to use coding software and abstracting systems.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT-4 for accurate APC assignment in accordance with guidelines.
• Abstract medical records into the EMR, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other regulatory standards for coding quality.
• Compile daily and monthly reports; support data analysis and research needs.
• Work independently in a remote setting with available supervisory guidance as needed.
