Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with 6 months to 1 year of radiology coding experience to join our Coding Ambulatory team. This fully remote role requires active CPC certification (or equivalent) and covers radiology CT, Ultrasounds, and other modalities.

We accept CPC-A with at least 6 months radiology experience. You will work remotely from states listed, with flexible hours between 7am–7pm local time, and equipment provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent, or an Associate degree in a related health field.
• Active CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT in good standing with AHIMA or AAPC.
• Minimum six months coding experience in radiology.
• Knowledge of ICD/CPT coding guidelines and NCCI edits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes for radiology procedures.
• Abstract clinical data and ensure accuracy for reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulatory standards.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports and support quality improvement.
• Work independently in a remote setting with proper documentation.
