Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder to join our Coding Ambulatory team in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate has CPC in active status and 6 months to 1 year of coding experience, preferably in radiology, coding CT and Ultrasounds.

We offer flexible hours within a national remote network, robust resources, training, and opportunities for growth. CPC-A accepted only with radiology coding experience. Equipment is provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Requires active CPC (or equivalent) certification.
• Minimum 6 months professional coding experience; radiology coding preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT coding principles per AHIMA/AAPC guidelines.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet and home setup.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT for radiology to ensure accurate APC assignment.
• Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedures into the EMR with proper signatures and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and Medicaid coding rules and guidelines.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports and support coding quality initiatives.
