Job summary

Hire-Emerald is seeking a QuickBooks Financial Controller to own the accounting operations for a remote, US-based luxury interior design firm. You will manage the General Ledger, lead the month-end close, supervise AP/AR, and implement QuickBooks configurations and integrations.

The role reports to the CFO, requires hands-on QuickBooks expertise (Online/Desktop), and English proficiency at C1/C2. This is a full-time contractor with remote work across time zones, and overlap with US business

Qualifications

• Advanced, hands-on QuickBooks expertise.
• Experience with GL ownership and month-end close.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and P&L reports.
• Strong attention to detail and independent work style.
• C1/C2 English proficiency, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize QuickBooks for reporting and controls.
• Lead the transition of GL from external firm to in-house.
• Maintain, reconcile, and close the books monthly.
• Supervise AR and AP specialists and payroll approvals.
• Provide accurate financial statements and reporting to CFO.
