Job summary

Entrepreneur Cooperative is seeking a hands-on QuickBooks Financial Controller to own the company’s accounting operations in a fully remote, contractor role. You will manage the General Ledger, oversee monthly closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting, and lead the transition from external accounting to in-house processes.

Reporting to the CFO, you will supervise AP/AR staff, ensure strong internal controls, handle payroll and tax matters, and coordinate with clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a senior accounting professional with full ownership of the General Ledger.
• Advanced QuickBooks expertise with experience configuring or leading implementations.
• Proven ability to manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize QuickBooks to support the accounting structure and reporting needs.
• Lead QuickBooks configuration and implementation initiatives.
• Transition General Ledger from external firm to in-house function; maintain monthly close.
• Oversee AP/AR team; review invoices, payroll, and client statements.
• Ensure strong accounting controls and accurate financial information for CFO review.
