Fourlane, Inc. is looking for a QuickBooks Implementation Consultant to provide client-facing implementations and financial consulting. This full-time position allows for 100% remote work, primarily focused on improving financial systems and delivering exceptional client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of relevant experience, expertise in QuickBooks, and the ability to effectively manage client relationships and workflows.

QuickBooks Implementation Consultant

(Also known as: Accounting & Financial Systems Consultant, Accounting Systems & Advisory Consultant)
Location: 100% Remote / Virtual

Must Reside In: Austin, TX or any of the following states – AL, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, NC, NV, OH, OR, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried)
Compensation: $55,000–$75,000 base salary + quarterly bonus opportunities

Position Overview

Fourlane is seeking a QuickBooks Implementation Consultant to deliver client-facing accounting system implementations, financial consulting, and ongoing advisory services. This role combines hands-on accounting execution, QuickBooks expertise, and consulting project work.

You will work directly with clients to stabilize, optimize, and scale financial systems, providing consulting and training across QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and ERP platforms such as Acumatica or NetSuite. Consultants are expected to maintain strong billable utilization, manage client relationships, and contribute to high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

What You’ll Actually Work On

Fourlane consultants are deeply involved in real client projects, including:

• System implementations, conversions, and migrations, such as transitioning clients to QuickBooks Online Advanced or consolidating multi-entity environments
• QuickBooks file rebuilds and data cleanup, repairing corrupted or bloated files and restoring reliable financial reporting
• Workflow and process redesign, improving efficiency across accounting and operations teams
• Client training and enablement, ensuring systems work long after implementation

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Accounting Processes: Build and improve accounting workflows to streamline operations and enhance productivity
• Lead System Implementations & Conversions: Manage system transitions to ensure seamless execution and long-term success
• Project Management: Independently lead small-scale projects from initiation through completion
• Client-Facing Consulting: Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
• QuickBooks Training & Consultation: Provide hands-on training, troubleshooting, and optimization support

• Communication: Maintain strong written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams
• Billable Utilization: Maintain a 90% billable utilization rate
• Time Tracking: Accurately log billable and non-billable hours in the CRM

Additional Expectations

• Effectively manage your calendar and availability
• Independently manage client relationships with initiative and accountability
• Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online to optimize workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting or consulting experience
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel preferred
