Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer to join a 100% U.S.-based remote role for a Federal Government client. The candidate will implement and test quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions and advise on PQC migrations under strict security guidelines.

The role requires 10+ years of IT experience with quantum computing and cryptography, deep knowledge of Qiskit/Cirq and NIST PQC standards, and the ability to communicate risks to non-technical leadership. U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with quantum computing and cryptography in large orgs/government
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, algorithms, and information theory
• Experience with PQC and NIST standards
• Familiarity with cryptographic standards and simulation tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and test quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms
• Lead PQC implementation strategies and migration plans
• Assess cryptographic inventory and migration priorities
• Communicate quantum risk to leadership
• Ensure alignment with NIST PQC standards (FIPS 203-205)
