Syms Strategic Group seeks a Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer for a remote US-based role. You will implement and test cryptographic algorithms and work on migration to quantum-resistant standards. The ideal candidate has extensive quantum computing experience and familiarity with PQC standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with quantum computing/cryptography in large org or government
• Expertise in quantum mechanics and quantum algorithms
• Experience with cryptographic standards (NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
• Experience with classical and quantum simulation tools

Responsibilities

• Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using Python, C++, and Java
• Advise on migration plans for quantum-resistant algorithms and PQC implementation
• Assess cryptographic inventory and identify migration priorities
• Communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
• Provide guidance for cryptographic modernization per NIST PQC standards (FIPS 203-205)
