Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer for a Federal Government client. This fully remote, W-2 role requires U.S. citizenship and a Public Trust security level.

Bring 10+ years in IT with quantum cryptography, expertise in quantum algorithms, and experience with Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper, or MS Quantum Development Kit. You will drive PQC migrations and communicate quantum risk to leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with quantum computing and cryptography in large orgs or government settings.
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, algorithms, and information theory.
• Experience with PQC frameworks and NIST standards.
• Ability to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Python, C++, and Java to implement and test cryptographic algorithms.
• Advise on migration plans and PQC implementation strategies.
• Assess cryptographic inventory and identify migration priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to leadership.
• Provide policy inputs for cryptographic modernization aligned with NIST PQC standards.
