Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer in the US to serve as the primary customer contact for quality and technical issues. You will act as the design authority on moderate to high complexity projects, review designs, and drive investigations to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Travel up to 40% to support customer sites and project delivery. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) with 7+ years in power systems and strong communication, MS Office, and AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems; Master's with 5+ years preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications and resolution timelines.
• Act as technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verifications, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating needs to commercial and product teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, service, supply chain, and product management.
• Manage multiple projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and timely delivery of outputs.
