ABB Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead technical and customer-facing actions on Critical Power projects.

You will serve as the primary contact for quality issues, act as design authority on complex engineering deliverables, review designs, and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires a strong background in electrical distribution/power systems, excellent communication, and the ability to travel (40%) to customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems; Master's with 5+ years.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools in job functions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsabilités

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps, customer needs, and market trends to commercial and product management teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
