Job summary

ABB is looking for a Quality Engineer to lead customer-facing quality initiatives and serve as the design authority on ABB Critical Power projects. You will coordinate with engineering, service, and product management to resolve quality issues and ensure compliant, timely project delivery.

The role requires strong communication, domain expertise in power systems, and the ability to travel up to 40% for customer visits and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is a plus for advanced roles.
• 7+ years in electrical distribution or power systems with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer contact for quality and technical issues.
• Act as the design authority for engineering deliverables on projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, service, and product management.
• Manage multiple projects with plans, cost estimates, RFQs, and meetings.
